The Greyplains Core Guidebook, Simplains Guidebook, Beigeplains Guidebook, and the Greyplains 5e Mods are available on DriveThruRPG! Currently, only the PDFs are available. Once the print versions have been proofed, they will be available too. Proofs should arrive by mid-November.

Greyplains is an independent TTRPG franchise that is committed to providing unique and engaging gameplay to match whatever genre or setting a GM or their players choose.

Greyplains seeks to achieve this goal by providing five types of content: Modules, Settings, Campaigns, Programs, and a Newsletter.

Goofs and Gaffs

Writing a TTRPG is a very technical and term-heavy process. The game is currently released in a “pre-final” or Alpha state, so there will be some minor errors that, while they do not interfere with the overall text, are mistakes that muddle or obfuscate a mechanic. This section exists to document these goofs and gaffs within the Greyplains Text so that when we release the final version, everything will be as precise as possible.

If you find a goof and/or gaff in the text, please email us at greyplainsttrpg@gmail.com. The edit will be added to the list here for people to see the fix, and when the official art release comes through, the edit will be added to the text. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

  • Upcoming Projects

    Beyond our (mostly) complete Playtests and Guidebooks, there are a number of projects that we are excited to showcase. All these projects are in some stage of development, meaning material has been written for them, but a complete draft has not been finished.

  • Descent

    A Campaign set in the Greyplains Setting, in Descent you play as an immortal Hollow on a quest to the center of the Negative Energy Plane.

  • Greyplains Setting

    The Greyplains Setting Guide is composed of several installments to flush out the Greyplains world. The Setting guide focuses on the lived experience of its peoples, their relations to people nearby, and their culture.

  • Greyspace Setting

    Greyspace is a Sci-Fi/Fantasy setting. It exists as an alternate reality to Greyplains. Some peoples, cultures, and places will be familiar, but many things will be brand new!

    Greyspace is divided into three “Rims:” The Inner, Middle, and Outer rims. The Inner Rim has a focus on Sci-Fi over fantasy, the Middle Rim has a focus on Fantasy over Sci-Fi, and the Outer Rim is filled with bizarre and eldritch beings.

  • Gnomes of Eagthyria

    This is a Campaign using the Beigeplains system, set in the Greyplains setting. You play as one of five Kings of the Queen’s Council of Eagthyria.

  • Nomads of the Shuge

    A Boardgame set in the Greyplains Setting, you play as one of four nomadic peoples of the Machten as they travel around their homeland making a life from their livestock.

  • Greyplains OS

    Greyplains OS is a synthesis and update to Advanced Dungeons and Dragons 2nd Edition. Greyplains is directly inspired by AD&D 2nd, so it is a great privilege for us to get our hands dirty and update this game for contemporary audiences.

 

Greyplains Kickstarter Video

While the Kickstarter is long over (and did not make /frownyface), the Kickstarter launch video does a pretty good job communicating the essentials of the system, the mood of its creation, and the continuing goals going forward.
